1. Open the left front door. Match the front side step cover to the left front side sill panel, confirm the installation position, and clean it with Isopropyl alcohol. Align with the end of the curved surface of the character line. LEFT FRONT DOOR Contact with the projected part. Align with the end of the curved surface of the character line. FRONT SIDE STEP COVER ATTACHING SURFACE Thoroughly clean with a Isopropyl alcohol. LEFT FRONT SIDE SILL PANEL 5525170S 2. Remove the adhesive backings completely. ADHESIVE BACKINGS (4) Remove. FRONT SIDE STEP COVER 3. Align the front side step cover with the installation position you confirmed in step 1 and attach the front side step cover in the position. Press on the front side step cover, especially at both ends of it, securely with the palms of your hands. FRONT SIDE STEP COVER FRONT SIDE STEP COVER INSTALLATION POSITION Clean with Isopropyl alcohol. LEFT FRONT SIDE SILL PANEL FRONT SIDE STEP COVER <Sectional View> 4. Repeat for the right side.

1. Open the trunk lid, and remove the rear bumper (four clips and two self-tapping screws). 2 SELF- TAPPING SCREWS 4 CLIPS 2. Position the template on the left side of the rear bumper by aligning them as shown. Using a pushpin, pierce the rear bumper as indicated by the arrow on the template. REAR BUMPER PUSHPIN CENTER OF BUMPER TEMPLATE 3. Remove the template. While wearing eye protection, drill a 10 mm hole at each of the seven pierced points on the rear bumper. First drill with a 3 mm drill bit, and finish with a 10 mm drill bit. DRILL (First drill with a 3 mm drill bit and finish with a 10 mm drill bit.) REAR BUMPER 7 PIERCED POINTS Cut out.

4. Draw the lines that connect the 10 mm holes in the rear bumper as shown, and cut off the rear bumper along the lines you just made. 5. Flip the template, and repeat steps 2 through 4 on the right side of the rear bumper. 6. Slide the two spring nuts onto the recesses at both ends of the rear bumper. Position the rear under spoiler on the rear bumper, and install the two self-tapping screws. REAR BUMPER REAR UNDER SPOILER PUSHPIN (There must be no clearance between the rear under spoiler and rear bumper.) SPRING NUT RECESS SELF-TAPPING SCREW 7. Using a pushpin, mark both ends of the rear bumper at the upper hole position of the rear under spoiler. There must be no clearance between the rear under spoiler and rear bumper. Remove the rear under spoiler.

ELECTRIC START MODELS 1. Follow steps 1) through 3) of the RECOIL START section. (Disregard step 1c) 2. Insert the key into the key slot and turn it clockwise to the “START” position. 3. Release the key as soon as the engine starts (the key should automatically return to the “RUN” position). CAUTION! If the engine does not start within 5 seconds, release the key. Wait at least 30 seconds and try to start the engine again. Do not turn the key to the “START” position while the engine is running. 4. Once the engine has started, push the CHOKE LEVER back to its original position. 5. Allow the engine to warm up for 3 minutes before you use the generator. USING A.C. POWER FROM THE GENERATOR: Single Voltage (120V only) a) Leave the CIRCUIT BREAKERS off until your electrical appliances are properly connected to the generator. b) Turn off the switches on all electrical appliances before connecting them to the generator. Note: Before plugging any appliances into the generator, check the wattage of each appliance to be used. The TOTAL wattage of all appliances should not exceed the rated output of the generator. c) Insert the plugs from your electrical appliances into the generator. Note: To use power from the round, locking receptacles, insert the plug into the receptacle and turn it clockwise to lock the plug. d) Place the FULL POWER switch in the 120V position (The 240V receptacle can NOT be used when the FULL POWER switch is in the 120V position). e) Switch the CIRCUIT BREAKERS on. 1. 2. Dual Voltage (120V/240V) a) Follow steps a) through c) above. b) Place the FULL POWER switch in the 120V/240V position. c) Switch the CIRCUIT BREAKERS on. CAUTION! The FULL POWER switch should always be kept in the 120V position unless you are using the 240V receptacle.

Side Discharge Down Position This position directs the air stream down at the ground to allow the operator to deliver the maximum power to debris that is stuck or difficult to remove. This position is also very useful for cleaning out cracks and expansion joints in pavement. ADJUSTING AIR DIRECTOR 16.4 When you lock the lever, the default position of air director is in the middle or straight out. If you want to raise or lower air director lock position you must adjust the threaded fitting on the cable. Note: You will not get full range of motion of air director If you raise or lower default locking postion. Raise Lock Position Lower Lock Position Front Discharge Position The removable front discharge adapter can be slipped on to direct the air stream forward. This option is extremely useful for cleaning out long cracks in pave- ment or for cleaning under bushes or building over- hangs. 1. Lock the lever at the handle by pulling on the lever then slide it over to right. 2. Loosen the bottom nut on the threaded cable fitting and back it off 1/4 inch. 3. Pull the threaded cable fitting up while pushing down on the air director then check for air director position. 4. Loosen or tighten the same bottom nut then repeat step 3 until the air director position is satisfactory. 5. Tighten the top nut.

Control adjustment clutch lever position caution: • make sure to adjust the clutch lever free play after the clutch lever position adjustment or clutch cable disconnected. 1. The clutch lever position can be adjusted by looseing the lock nut and turning the adjuster. Turning the adjuster counterclockwise moves the clutch lever farther away from the grip; turning the adjuster clockwise moves the clutch lever closer to grip. Tighten the lock nut securely. 3. Loosen the lock nut and turn the integral cable ad- juster to adjust the clutch lever free play 3/8 – 3/4 in (10 – 20 mm) at the tip of lever. Tighten the lock nut. Clutch lever free play 1. The normal clutch lever free play is 3/8 – 3/4 in (10 – 20 mm) at the tip of the lever. 1 2 d 1 c 2 (1) (2) (c) (d) lock nut integral cable adjuster increase decrease 4. Adjust the cable end adjuster for minor adjustment. 1 f (1) clutch lever 2. Minor adjustments can be made with the cable end adjuster. Turning the adjuster in direction a will increase free play and turning it in direction b will decrease free play. If the adjuster is threaded out near its limit or the correct free play cannot be reached, turn the adjuster all the way in and back out one turn and make the adjustment with the integral cable adjuster.
