INSTALLATION NOTE • Be careful not to damage the finished surfaces of the body when installing the bicycle carrier. • No more than 2 bicycles should be carried on the bicycle rack. 1. Slide the upright assembly into the trailer hitch receiver until the hole in the tube lines up with the receiver hole. Install the bolt with lock washer and 12 mm washer through the receiver hole. Tighten the bolt securely. TRAILER HITCH RECEIVER UPRIGHT ASSEMBLY 12 mm LOCK WASHER WASHER 2. Position the bicycle arm bracket onto the upright assembly as shown. 4. Install the pin and safety hook as shown. SAFETY HOOK BICYCLE ARM BRACKET UPRIGHT ASSEMBLY 5. Align the tie-down bar with the upright assembly, then secure it with the allen bolt and 6 mm nut. INSTALLATION 1. Remove the grip weights from the handlebar. SCREW (Save) GRIP WEIGHT (Save) 2. Install the chrome bar ends on the handlebar. 6 mm SOCKET BOLT Tighten the 6 mm socket bolt while holding the handle weight to prevent it from turning. HANDLE WEIGHT TOOLS AND SUPPLY REQUIRED Hex wrench (5 mm) Torque wrench TORQUE CHART Tighten all screws, bolts and nuts to their specified torques. Refer to the Service Manual for the tightening torques of removed parts.

1. If equipped, make sure you have the anti-theft code for the radio, then write down the frequencies for the preset buttons. 2. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery. 3. Remove the driver’s dashboard lower cover, turn the knobs clockwise, then pull the driver’s dashboard lower cover out toward you to release the six retaining tabs. 4. Slide the bracket onto the receiver unit. If the vehicle is equipped with an XM radio, refer to the XM radio installation instructions for the installation procedure to install the receiver unit. 5. Position the bracket on the steering hanger beam and install the flange bolt supplied. RECEIVER UNIT 6. Locate the 5-pin connector blue-taped to the vehicle harness and remove the blue tape to free the 5-pin connector. Plug the 5-pin connector into the receiver unit. 7. Check that all wire harnesses and cables are routed properly and all connectors are plugged in.
8. Reinstall the driver’s dashboard lower cover. 9. Reconnect the negative cable to the battery. 10. Enter the customer’s radio anti-theft code, if applicable, and reset the radio station presets. 11. Reset the clock. 12. Check operation of the keyless entry according to the Owner’s Manual supplied. NOTE: Whenever the battery is disconnected, the driver’s window AUTO function is disabled. 13. Start the engine. Push down on the driver’s window switch until the window is fully open. 14. Pull up on the driver’s window switch to close the window completely, then hold the switch for 2 seconds. 15. Lower and raise the driver’s window to check operation of the driver’s window AUTO function.

TOOLS AND SUPPLIES REQUIRED Clip remover Open-end wrench set Screwdrivers Socket wrench set Torque wrench Belt tension gauge Refrigerant oil (R12 mineral oil or R134a PAG oil) Fender covers, floor mats, and seat covers HFC-134a refrigerant recovery/recycling/charging station Gloves Eye protection (face shield, safety goggles, etc.) Electronic leak detector • Use only HFC-134a in this system; do not use CFC 12 (Freon); do not install parts designed for use in a CFC system. • Use a charging station. A/C charging stations and refrigerant recovery/recycling stations minimize the release of CFCs and HFCs into the atmosphere. Use them for all A/C charging and service work according to their manufacturers’ instructions. • Do not overcharge. This system requires only the amount of HFC-134a refrigerant shown below. If you overcharge the system, the engine and the A/ C could malfunction.
1. Move the air mix doors out of the way. 2. Write down the customer’s radio station presets, then disconnect the 12-volt battery. Turn the ignition switch ON (II), then turn the temperature control knob all the way to “HOT”. Wait about 10 seconds, then turn the ignition switch off. TEMPERATURE CONTOL KNOB 3. Prepare to install the evaporator. : M5 bolts Torque: 9 N.m (6.3 lb-ft) 2 Unlatch and remove the glove box. 1 Remove the two 5 mm bolts. 8 Cut the plastic cross brace in the glove box opening with diagonal cutters in the area shown, and discard it. : M5 bolts Torque: 9 N.m (6.3 lb-ft) : Screw : Clips 6 accessory power Disconnect the socket 2P connector. 4 Remove this screw. 5 lower cover away from 7 Remove this 5 mm washer- bolt to gain access to the glove box mounting bolt in step 9. Carefully pull the center the dash (11 clips). 3 Remove this 5 mm 9 washer-bolt. Remove the three bolts (two 6 mm and one 5 mm), then remove the glove box frame.

Installation note: • remove the standard floor mats before installing these floor mats. • before installing, identify each floor mat. • the floor mat anchors are required for the driver’s side of the vehicle; the anchor prevents the driver’s side floor mat from sliding forward and interfering with the pedals. 1. Install the driver’s side front floor mat by placing the rings in the floor mat around two anchors on the floor carpet. Passenger’s side front floor mat driver’s side front floor mat driver’s side front floor mat ring 2. Install the passenger’s side front floor mat on the floor carpet. 3. Install the driver’s side rear floor mat on the floor carpet. Passenger’s side rear floor mat floor carpet anchor driver’s side rear floor mat ring 4. Install the passenger’s side rear floor mat by placing the ring in the floor mat around the anchor on the floor carpet.
